Capitol City Consulting, LLC (CCC) North Carolina's leading Digital Forensics Firm is offering A Digital Forensic Boot Camp Training Course hosted by The Raleigh Police Department Training Academy here in Raleigh, NC to Corporate, Law Enforcement, Government Agency and Military Investigators, Forensic Examiners and IT Security Personnel.
Raleigh, NC (June 26, 2007) – Capitol City Consulting, LLC (CCC) will be providing an intensive 1 day Digital Forensic Boot Camp Training Course on June 27, 2007 in partnership with the Raleigh Police Department Training Academy. This course is designed to provide attendees knowledge on Digital Forensic fundamentals, understanding procedures, on how to conduct a Digital Forensic Examination as part of an overall investigation. Attendees will gain valuable knowledge on identifying potential digital evidence, where to locate potential digital evidence, and types of digital devices that may contain digital evidence. From identifying, preserving, analyzing, reporting and following proper chain of custody procedures that are necessary to ensure potential evidence integrity and admissibility in a court of law will be taught. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about digital forensic tools that may help them in performing a digital forensic examination.
CCC Instructors have been providing training to North Carolina’s legal, corporate, government and law enforcement communities since 2002 under the leadership of Mr. Giovanni Masucci, President of CCC. Mr. Masucci has been committed to educating on digital forensics since he began educating law enforcement on “Computer Forensics” over four years ago. “With the increase in technology use and relative ease for criminals to use technology as another weapon, comes the need for Law Enforcement to get “cyber smart” and create Cyber Crime Units, Mr. Masucci states”. “The NC Bureau of Investigations (NCSBI), the Raleigh Police Department and the City County Bureau of Identification (CCBI) have created remarkable crime fighting Cyber Units, and now we see Cary Police Department along with other local area Law Enforcement Agencies stepping up and creating Cyber Crime Units as well.”
Mr. Masucci has made additional strides in his commitment to contribute to training in the field of Digital Forensics by promoting Digital Forensic courses in the NC Community College System over the past four years accounting for Wake Technical Community College to now offer a curriculum track on Computer Forensics and Vance- Granville Community College to offering a curriculum as well on Computer Forensics.
